Do I need to be a clinician to use this?
No. The Free tier is open to anyone — parents, caregivers, educators, or therapists. The platform doesn't ask about credentials at sign-up. Parents leading their own child's plan get exactly the same tools the clinicians use.
Is this a replacement for my child's therapist?
No, it's a complement. Use the platform to track sessions and follow programs at home, and book a 1:1 consultation whenever you want clinician input. The 'When to bring in a professional' section of the parent quickstart lists 4 specific triggers — read those.
How much does it cost to start?
$0, free forever. TC Free lets you create 1 child or client profile (profiles shared with you are unlimited), record session data with offline capture, try 3 interactive exercise drills per child and see 5 suggested programs. When you grow past that, TC Family ($9.99 USD/month, or $179 MXN in Mexico) adds up to 3 profiles, the full 232-program library, unlimited interactive exercises and 1 AI treatment plan a month. TC PRO ($29.99 USD/month, or $499 MXN in Mexico) is for clinicians and clinics: unlimited profiles, clinical documents and the full AI clinical suite.
What if I'm not sure what to teach my child?
Open the criteria-matched library and search by what your child is working on right now — it ranks programs by fit. The parent quickstart walks through how to pick 3 starter programs (one already-mastered for confidence, one slightly above level for stretch, one motivating to keep it fun).
I'm not a 'data person.' Can I still use this?
Yes. The mobile app is built for tap-during-session use — you tap correct/incorrect/prompted, the app does the math. Each session is 10–15 minutes, not an hour of paperwork. The charts you see afterward are designed to be read at a glance.
Is my child's data private?
Yes. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256). Access is limited to your own account; sharing requires explicit action. We don't sell data, don't run ads, and don't use your child's data to train third-party AI models. See the Privacy Policy for the full statement.
Can I share my child's profile with their school therapist?
Yes. Sharing a profile with another clinician is included in TC Family and TC PRO; the school therapist can use a free account. On TC Free you can receive profiles others share with you, but not share your own.
Can I get 1:1 help from a specialist?
Yes. You can book an initial consultation with Dr. Quiñones (90 minutes, $229 USD, online or in person, in English or Spanish) whenever you want a clinician's eyes on your child's plan. See the consultations page. You don't need it to start: the platform's tools work on their own.
How is this different from CentralReach, Catalyst, or Rethink?
The criteria-matched library is the difference. Other platforms give you a blank canvas to write your own programs; we ship 232 programs in 5 languages with SDs, expected responses, mastery criteria and prerequisite chains, all searchable against your client's profile. On top of that, TC PRO includes AI treatment plans, AI evaluation drafts (20 sections), AI note polish, behavior (ABC) analysis and Correct & Enhance for notes and reports. TC PRO is a flat $29.99 USD/month with organizations included, no per-seat fee.
Can I import data from my current EMR or data system?
There's no automated import yet. The recommended migration path is to start fresh on 3 active clients, log new sessions there for 4 weeks, and decide whether to migrate the rest. Is this HIPAA compliant? Can you sign a BAA?
We implement HIPAA-aligned safeguards (encryption, access controls, audit logging, breach notification) and offer a Business Associate Agreement on request for US clinical customers. Email contact@truetherapydata.com to request the BAA template — your counsel will want to review it before signing.
I'm a 1-clinician practice. Which plan do I need?
TC PRO ($29.99 USD/month, or $499 MXN in Mexico). It includes unlimited client profiles and caseloads, the full 232-program library, unlimited interactive exercises, clinical documents (contact notes, progress and evaluation reports) and the AI clinical suite: 10 AI treatment plans and 10 AI evaluation drafts a month. The clinicians quickstart has the ROI test for whether TC PRO pays for itself in time saved on progress reports.
I supervise BCBA candidates / RBTs. Does TC PRO help?
Partly. With TC PRO you can create an organization, assign caseloads to each member and revoke access when someone leaves, and a supervisor can co-sign notes and reports. TC does not track supervision hours, so keep your BACB hour log in your usual system. If you want a clinical consultation, you can book one with Dr. Quiñones from the consultations page.
Can my clients (or their parents) see what I'm working on?
Only if you choose to share. The default is clinician-private. The shared-profile flow requires explicit action on your side; parents-of-minors can't auto-access the clinician view. If you want parents to see auto-emailed survey results or progress charts, you enable that per-client.
What about ASHA CEUs from your courses?
TherapyConnectData courses are professional-development content and do not provide ASHA-approved CEUs.
I run a practice with several therapists. How do we work together?
Create an organization — it's included with TC PRO. You invite each clinician by email and they can be on any plan, including free: you pay for the clinic, not per seat. Everyone then reaches the organization's shared client pool instead of you sharing profiles one at a time, and you decide which caseloads each member sees. Admins can set another member's caseloads on their behalf, and when someone leaves you revoke their access or transfer their clients the same day. One PRO account can run up to 10 organizations, so a group with several sites or programs can keep them separate.
