Good question. When a child already requests but doesn't yet copy your words, the first step is usually gross motor imitation, clap-when-I-clap, touch-your-nose. Getting the imitation system working makes copying words come much more easily later. Move to vocal imitation once you see 5+ consistent motor imitations. #unit2.motorImit
